Striking handpainted cream plate handpainted and manufactured at Salins, France. Unmarked but dating to c.1955. Though it has Leger's initials these plates were not painted directly by him. They are however, relatively uncommon. There is one of these plates exhibited alongside Picasso ceramics at La Piscine Fine Arts Museum, Roubaix, France.
