Rare Roger Capron plates depicting a mermaid and a centaur handpainted in bright colours onto a matt black underglaze. The rear of the plates are glazed in a bright orange colour. This is perhaps the point at which Capron came closest in his style and iconography to Picasso and this range was produced for only a short period in the late 1950s and is consequently rare. Perfect condition and fully signed.
