Stylised African head bookends in a handmade wood by Hagenauer, Vienna. These are unmarked but are a known design and the fine finish and crisp carving identify these as superior to many of the pastiche pieces produced both at the time and later. This is a known model that has turned up at auction with factory stamps and is usually estimated well in excess of four figures. Excellent original condition with fine patina. 35 x 23 x 9 cm
